Out on the sea on a broken down ship
All I see is all there is
My right arm tattoo told me to look East
and no longer was I alone for the light shone on the water
The sails could tell a tale far better than I
Hundreds of years catching the wind with a breath
My beard was still too short; I was still a man
Exploring the oceans, the storms, and the land
The monsters, as I see it, are in the palm of my hand
Many nights awake under the canopy of the cosmos
Dolphins know the stars far better than I
Like a map to a place I haven’t yet been to up in the sky
Waves against the hull bring a tear to my eye
