The Lament of one mime – 9/1/00

Inside a spacious lime
outside of space and time
Lived a mime
who spoke in rhyme

He went out for a walk to the sea
and climbed the tallest tree
It filled his heart with glee
to see what mimes could be

And further on he drifted
He felt like he’d been lifted
Through the sand of life he sifted
and realized he didn’t do it, the gift did

What could he do?
He thought that he was through
Everything was blue like a zoo
and waiting for the end, he played his kazoo

Bears with beads of dew carried him away
In fields of clouds he lay
Forever he would stay this way all day
Speaking with red flowers on the last day in May
